Chocolate Covered Bacon

I can't say that I've ever tasted it, but bacon and chocolate together in one harmonious offering. Enuff said.

Basketball's Top Rated Kindergartner

I saw this article yesterday about Marquise Walker and how when he was 2 he could dribble a basketball like no other toddler. So his Dad worked him, got him a trainer and began developing Marquise to be the next Michael Jordan. Yes, he may not grow. He may be too slow. Only time will tell.

Anyhow, his Dad filmed videos of this youngster's mad skillz, took photos of Marquise in the company of many NBA players and posted them on YouTube. He essentially fabricated, although his son is good, this mystique surrounding this kid's talents. He labeled his son "basketball's top-rated kindergartner." Sure, scouts start looking at athletes at a young age, but kindergarten? Come on. There's no such thing... until his Dad made it up. Only the future will show us if this marketing ploy pays out or drives Marquise to the couch of every shrink in town. Hello, Todd Marinovich & Jennifer Capriati. We shall see. Check the video out, it's once again amazing what one can do with time, a video camera and the internet.

Not sure why I like this, but...

It's a gorilla and man is he working those drums. Also, not sure what it has to do with eating chocolate, but who cares.

What's wrong was a good police chase?

Yes, we've all enjoyed watching the aerial view of a quality high-speed chase where some moron in a stolen Chevy tirelessly tries to outrun the 5 cops on his tail. After swerving in and out of traffic, flying through a red light and attempting the old driving-on-the-wrong-side-of-the-road maneuver, he finally comes to rest in the backyard of nice 75 year-old Grandma who just water her plants.

Well, this ingenious product, the StarChase Pursuit Management System, enables a cop too change the way they hunt these folks done. Using a laser-guided launcher mounted to the front of their car, police can tag the fleeing vehicle with a GPS tracking device.

Creative Begging

When all else fails, blame the ninjas. Not sure if this is real or just a photoshop job, but who cares? I'd give this guy at least my pocket change or some nunchucks.

Not your warm and fuzzy Ecard

Someecards.com is not your mother's ecard. Catering to a younger, edgier audience, someecards couples a matter of fact, contemporary voice with vintage drawings. It's not a totally fresh concept as there are plenty of vintage art/photo product lines with funny captions out there, but someecards has a really nice catalog of hilarious cards. Many of their cards hit categories you'd never think of like, "Sorry for the misunderstanding and the blue balls." Or "I hope someday we're divorced at the same time."

Top 5 Print Ads Today

Here's a collection of very solid print concepts.

Surprising way to say smooth. This campaign definitely has great legs, too. Bad pun, but seriously I can already see the next print piece featuring Superman.

This is great. It takes a world famous painting, adds one simple speech bubble and totally changes the way I look at that painting. Made me laugh, too.

Yes, it's a bit juvenile, but it took me a second to get this ad. When I realized what it was for, I laughed. And that's why it's here. Plus, 9 out of 10 condom ads or ads that use penis size in them are generally very poorly done.

Nothing super special about this ad. Just a smart way of saying, "Hey if you want to get rid of the stink, use Febreze" without saying any of that.

Anyone who's worked on comedy knows that it's not exactly easy. The set up, the execution, the nuances all have to be thought through. And those that get comedy know where and where not to go. Blah, blah, blah... this ad really sums it all up.
